Who can join Pack 41?
Pack 41 welcomes all boys and girls grades K through 5. In the Lake Stevens area we represent Mt. Pilchuck and Machias Elementary schools, but any child in-district, out-of-district, or home schooled is welcome to join!
Can we visit before registering?
Yes! In fact we highly encourage it! Please contact Pack and ask about the next good event for prospective families.
When are meetings?
Pack and Den meetings happen on Mondays during the school year, usually from 7-8pm. Other fun activities like hikes, camps, bike rides, community service projects, professional sports outings and learning excursions happen throughout the year. All locations and detailed calendars are available to active Scouts.
Do Scouts need to participate in all meetings?
Yes! Scouts would ideally attend all regular meetings. This is so your youth can get the most out of Scouting. Den meetings are where the Scouts will be earning most of their adventures. And Pack meetings, are where we have group activities, discuss important events and where the rewarding of achievements takes place. Understandably conflicts arise, as a courtesy please contact your Den Leader so they can plan their time and resources appropriately.
Do parents/guardians need to participate?
Yes! Cub Scouting is a family adventure and we want parents/guardians to be active participants in their child’s Scouting activities. We are also always looking for volunteers to help Pack 41 be it's best so please let us know how you'd like to serve. A parent/guardian is required by the BSA to accompany their child to all meetings/activities for the Lion (kindergarten) and Tiger (grade 1) Dens.

What if we can't afford to join Cub Scouts?
The BSA has created an Opportunity Fund program that can help cover up to 90% of the Council and National fees. If you are in need of this assistance, the application can be found under the "Resources" tab. Please reach out to the Pack for further questions.
